Advanced and Intermediate current and past students were able to join the Spanish Café at The Crown Hotel in Woodbridge. The Café provides students with the opportunity to practise their language skills more spontaneously, and to keep in touch with the language over the long Summer break.
There were some activities that required real collaboration between the native speakers and students, and a quiz that showed good team spirit.
We are waiting for the GCSE, AS and A2 Spanish results when published in August. We have been offering extra support to students, and we are looking forward to them achieving the grades they wanted.
Enrolment will start in August for the Academic year 2017-2018 and lessons will start in the week commencing 11th September.
There are many options for novels suggested for reading in the Advanced and Intermediate classes considering the new syllabus for A levels, additionally for non-qualification students we suggest, La plaza del Diamante by Mercé Rodoreda (see review) and Mi planta de naranja-lima by Jose Mauro de Vasconcelos. Students are also welcome to recommend their own choice of text.
