This academic year has been concluded successfully, with the completion of three terms of all courses offered. Four new courses were added to those already running during the academic year 2013-2014.
Two of the additional courses took place at Woodbridge Cruising Club; the wonderful views of the river Deben were very much admired on a weekly basis.
The other two courses were offered for the first time at Woodbridge Library. We were able to enjoy the lovely building facilities and utilise a big screen to project the lessons. These courses were ideal for students who were unable to attend in the daytime because of work or other commitment.
In the academic year 2015-16 we will continue to offer these courses, and there will be new Complete Beginner courses at Woodbridge Cruising Club and Woodbridge Library. Please see the enrolment forms for more information.
For the long summer break, students were recommended materials to keep their Spanish going, but many students were lucky enough to use their language skills on holiday in Spain and Latin America.
As usual, we are waiting for the GCSE, AS and A2 Spanish results that are published in August. We are looking forward to finding out the results of students that had extra support with us; hoping they have achieved the grade they wanted for University entrance, or in the case of GCSE students for taking the language to advanced level.
Private tuition has been a big part of our teaching during the present academic year. Student’s feedback pointed out the fact that their teaching focused on giving them a skill for life and not only to pass their exams. The majority of students now travel extensively in their lives and we are very pleased that we can contribute to them being proficient not only in their travels, but also for use of the language in future jobs.
Enrolment will start in August for the Academic year 2015-2016, and lessons will start in the week commencing 14th September.
